Negrita: the video for the single “Non Existence Innocents My Friend”

Five years after their last job, they return Negrita with the video of the new single, “There are no innocents, friend my”the first extract from the new album due out in 2025 for Universal.

The images, directed by Marino Cecada and the assembly of Gianni Gaudenziare those of the concert held on 27 September at the Unipol Forum in Assago, in the province of Milan (read the review here).

About the live show, and the images extracted, Drigo comments: “The big party for the band’s thirty years, celebrated last September 27th at the Forum in Milan together with ten thousand traveling companions, was a collective embrace, a magical opportunity to relive the past together… but with all eyes on towards the future.

The energy and joy of those shared moments allowed us to look back with gratitude, but also to imagine what is to come. In fact, on that special evening we wanted to preview two songs from the new album that we are still composing. In this project we feel a strong need to talk about the anxieties that surround us: the worrying crescendo of conflicts and divisions that pervade the world. It is precisely from the images of that intense night that the video clip for the first of our new pieces, “Non Existe Innocenti Amico Mio”, was born, which investigates this moment so full of contradictions”.

While Pau speaking of the song he explains: “”THERE ARE NO INNOCENTS MY FRIEND” was entirely written and composed on Easter 2024 but there have been no resurrections or saints in the city. We live in increasingly complex, confusing, violent and poisoned realities. Understanding has become difficult, finding the truth even impossible. “NON THERE ARE INNOCENTS MY FRIEND” is the first extract of a collection of songs of an undoubtedly folk nature, also reminiscent of Dylan, which then grew up in the atelier of an Italian RnR band”.
