Negrita announce a new album before leaving for the tour

It comes out in March “Songs For Ruthless Years”, Friday on single “We are the others” and then the live shows

2025 will be a year of great news for i Negrita. After celebrating i 30 years of career with a concert at the Unipol Forum in Milan last 27 September (Read the review here), the band announces the title of the new album coming out in March: “Songs For Ruthless Years”. A concept album that arrives six years after the last studio work “Desert Yacht” .

To anticipate the exit, Friday 17 January will be available on radio and on all platforms, the single “We Are The Others”

We live in a confused and violent era and continuous simplifications do not help us understand the reality of things, on the contrary, they often complicate them. Continuously saying or hearing: right or left, red or black, progressive or conservative, etc., no longer means anything, times have changed, the centers of power have changed, but it is clear that the saying “divide and conquer” still continues to apply function, in fact dividing into supporters to command better is a process underway every day here in the West.
Many words such as democracy, justice or freedom are changing in meaning to the point of even canceling or reversing the original meaning.
We Negritas, like many other people, are tired of this condition and we want to say it, highlight it loudly and even sing it. We do not recognize ourselves in these lying simplifications. We are not aligned and unfortunately we don’t feel represented by anyone, but at least we have free thoughts. We are free thinkers who now struggle to dream of a better world, even if we will never stop trying.

The new single was preceded by the first unreleased song “There Are No Innocents My Friend” published last September 27th. The song was presented live for the first time during the concert celebrating 30 years of career that the Tuscan band held at the Forum in Milan.

With these new songs and their vast repertoire, Negrita will return to the stage with “NEGRITA – SONGS FOR RUTHLESS YEARS TOUR”. Starting in April, it will visit the main Italian clubs.
