National: four new live songs from the 2024 Rome concert

Next December 13th i National will release the album live”Rome“, testimony to the concert that last June 3 saw Matt Berninger and his associates protagonists on stage at the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone in Rome, for one of the two Italian dates in support of the two albums released in 2023 – “The First Two Pages of Frankenstein” (read the review here) And “Laugh Track” (read the review here).

The live album was anticipated last September by four tracks included in the EP “NTL RM EP I”: “I need my girl”, “Lemonworld”, “The Geese of Beverly Road” and “Lit up”. As a second preview of “Rome”, the National shares today a second EP of four songs recorded live at the show last June. The new publication is entitled “NTL RM II“, and contains live versions of the famous songs “Smoke detector”, “Fake empire”, “Mr. November” and “Terrible love”.

For the release of “Rome”, 4AD is collecting
videos, photos and memories written by fans
to celebrate twenty-five years of The National performing live. As reported in a press release, all contributions will be collected in a special shared viewing experience of the new album on YouTube, with highlights also shared on social media, to celebrate the incredible community that surrounds the band.
