This is the comment of Ezio Nannipieri, Artistic director of Musicultura
Finding Fabrizio and Julian Oliver is a real pleasure. We are talking about two artists who not only enchant with their skill, but who every time they play demonstrate how it is misleading to conceive music in terms of distinct genres and styles.
As for the finalists, we are very happy, each of them has something to say. We are talking about very different songs from each other, in themes, in the musical character, in the interpretative approach. It means that there is a generation of young artists immune from evil that risks reducing the Italian song to a single soup, it means that the need to seek and express themselves in several directions is not off and that there are those who have passion and enthusiasm to give it a voice. Musicultura is honored and proud to feel at the service of this way of conceiving and living the songs.
The selection to reach the names of the finalists began last November with the examination of the 2,352 songs presented in competition by the 1,176 artists enrolled in the 2025 edition.
