Mumford & Sons are back with a new album after 7 years

After seven yearshow many have passed since the release of their last “Delta” of 2018 (here is our review), the Mumford & Sons have announced their return with a new album. The band led by Marcus Mumford, who presented his first solo work “Self-Titled” in 2022, will release the new album in the studio titled “Rushmere” next March 28. The project will be anticipated tomorrow, January 17, with the release of the first single, the title of which has not been revealed.

The group shared the news alongside an official trailer, which includes snippets of new music and behind-the-scenes footage from the studio:

The London band announced the release of their new album while also revealing its tracklistwhere between 10 tracks The 2024 collaborative song with Pharrell Williams, “Good People”, does not appear on the album. The group also confirmed their “legendary friend” Dave Cobb as co-producer.

In addition to being Mumford & Sons’ first album in seven years, “Rushmere” also marks the the band’s first work as a triocomposed of Marcus Mumford, Ted Dwane and Ben Lovett. Banjoist Winston Marshall left the group in 2021, after facing backlash for praising a book by right-wing US journalist Andy Ngo.
