Mother Gallagher to Liam: “Don’t be a dick, go!”

Liam Gallagher’s mother has told him to “stop being a dick” and attend the 2026 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony, where Oasis will be inducted.

The band will be inducted into the Hall of Fame at an event in Los Angeles this November. The news comes following their nomination for the honor earlier this year, following two previous nominations in 2024 and 2025.

Liam Gallagher wrote via social media:

“I want to thank all the people who voted for us, it’s a real honor. Noel and I will both be going to the ceremony. We are very proud and honoured.”

In the past, Liam had colorfully expressed his thoughts on the Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame”: “It’s stuff for idiots.”

To a fan who asked him about the about-face, Liam replied:

“Well, I was talking to my mom when the news came out and she thinks I may have been a little hasty in my judgment of the organization. She told me to stop being a dick, go to the ceremony and behave, and who knows, I might even have fun.”

Peggy Gallagher admitted at the time of the reunion announcement that she was relieved to see her children working together again, after years of arguments between the two. “Nobody wants their kids to fight, right?”
