Morgan on Bugo’s retirement: “I’ve always appreciated it”
Bugo, as he stated, would like to retire from the scene. His last live should be the one at Alcatraz in Milan on April 1, 2025. The news has a particular meaning for Morgan who with his colleague was the protagonist of a famous vicissitude in Sanremo in 2020: “It’s not good news for me , the defeat of others brings me no joy”, wrote Morgan on his Instagram profile. The comment by the former Bluvertigo is accompanied by the provocative title of Dagospia who writes ‘Good news for Morgan – Bugo has announced his farewell to the stage’, accompanied by a photo of the two at Sanremo 2020, the scene of their well-known controversy. Morgan explains:
It’s not true that this is good news for me, I’m not someone who enjoys the defeat of others and I don’t want Bugo to disappear from the scene at all. The fact that I think he behaved badly towards me does not mean that I wish him harm, and it does not mean that he cannot behave differently towards others, nor does it prevent these others from considering him great. He had his reasons and I had mine, but I don’t wish him anything negative, he is a human being, a father, an intellectual, an artist, I scolded him because he disrespected me, I said to his face what I thought , and I don’t feel hatred towards him, on the contrary, I respect him, and then I have always appreciated him as a songwriter. It would have been good news for me to know that Bugo had finally written the second verse of the ‘bad intentions’ where he answered me in kind and so we could finally release the song.
