Modà: “We didn’t sell enough stadium tickets”
«I’m here to give you some news that probably won’t please you. It’s about the Turin date, at the stadium. Unfortunately due to technical-logistical reasons… No, that’s not true, since we didn’t sell enough tickets, it’s best to avoid the date inside such a large structure.” Kekko Silvestre, the frontman of Modà, says this to the fans, explaining that he has chosen to move the date of June 30th to the Allianz Stadium in Turin (capacity of over 40 thousand seats for concerts) to the Inalpi Arena (capacity of over 13 thousand seats for concerts) due to problems related to sales. In a video shared on social media, the singer-songwriter admits the difficulties encountered by the group, honestly explaining the reasons for the change of location:
The date will not be cancelled, it will take place on the same day, still in Turin, but inside the sports palace. It is clear that the climate of a stadium is different. I’m sorry, I probably committed a sin of presumption after last year’s crowd riot at San Siro. I thought we would make it this year too, but things didn’t go that way. But you learn from mistakes. Next time, when we organize a tour, I will have to try not to make the same mistake I made in this case.
Silvestre continues:
The thing that makes me very happy is that the date has not been cancelled, especially for people who have been purchasing tickets, flights and booking hotels for months: they will not lose this money. I am aware of how tiring it is to be able to come to a concert, especially when it involves families. This relieves me: it would have hurt me too much to know that someone would have lost money.
Vivo Concerti, which organizes the show, announces that previously purchased tickets remain valid to participate in the event at the Inalpi Arena. Purchasers will receive the placeholder by email with the seat relocated at the Inalpi Arena.
