Modà, Kekko announces a break from music

Kekko Silvestre, the frontman of Modà, has announced a break from music. The announcement came via a post shared by the singer of the Milanese band on his official social channels. Francesco Silvestre, this is the singer-songwriter’s real name, shared a photo of himself on stage at the San Siro Stadium in 2014, and wrote:

Hello all romantics, I’ve been away for a while and I apologize. I’m writing to you today 10 years after our first Sansiro, a dream that you helped us realize and for which we will be grateful to you all our lives. A few months ago I told you about the end of the work on our next album and the beginning of what could have been the release and the beginning of the new live journey. I’ve always been sincere with you and I want to continue to be so. I think I still need the necessary time to understand if in the future I will be able to resume my recording and frontman activity, but until then I don’t feel like I can promise anything. I apologize to all of you, and to Modà (with whom we are closer than ever). Today I can do nothing but accept this moment and listen to myself… sure you can understand me
