MMW25: Marz and Zef, united in the name of the “Marracash genre”

SIAE and Rockol present, on the occasion of Milan Music Week 2025the talk “The Marracash trilogy”, with the producers Marz and Zeph, protagonists of the three albums that marked a crucial moment for Italian music: “Person”, “We, them, the others” and “Peace is over” of Marracash. The appointment is November 20th at 12 in the spaces of Palazzina Appianimoderated by Rockol journalist Claudio Cabona. The meeting will be an opportunity to reflect on the evolution of the figure of the producer in Italy, from the pioneering period of the early 2000s to the centrality achieved todayalso thanks to works such as this trilogy which has helped to highlight the importance of the creative and musical work of producers.

Marz and Zef will talk about how they built a unique and recognizable soundcapable of combining influences from the past, intuitions from the present and innovative stylistic choices, transforming each album into a laboratory of sound research. We will talk about the key moments of “Persona”, between classical music samples and references to the Italian scene, of the identity drive and originality of “We, them, the others”, up to the total concentration and isolated creativity of “Peace is over”. The role of the producer as “director of music” will be highlighted, capable of supporting the artist in creating a coherent and original path, bringing out a recognizable and lasting language. It will be an opportunity to delve deeply into the background, intuitions and working methodologies that allowed Marz and Zef to shape three fundamental albumsshowing how musical production can become a real cultural act.
