Mina, the new song is called “A cost of dying”
A short take from ANSA informs:
“The first show of the women’s pret-a-porter line entirely designed by Silvana Armani, who took over the creative direction after the death of the maison’s founder last September, closes on the notes of the unreleased song ‘A costo di mori’, sung by Mina in honor of Giorgio Armani”.
A short black and white video, with a piece of singing and a detail of Mina’s face, was released yesterday:
It should be noted that, unlike what ANSA writes, the song is not unreleased, but is Mina’s version – this is unreleased – of a song written by Massimo Cantini and Franca Evangelisti published in 1979 by Fausto Leali as the B-side of the single “Musica ti tmo”, and then included by the singer from Brescia in the collection “Un moment di blu” (2011). Mina’s version will be released at midnight today on platforms.
As Massimiliano Pani observes,
The song was given as a gift at the Armani fashion show as Mina’s tribute to Giorgio. The piece is an unpublished rereading by Mina who rediscovers a song by Fausto Leali from 1979 and which will be included in the album “Dilettevoli inedite surpluses” due out in September. Mina and Armani are two giants: they have in common the fact that they have followed personal and counter-current artistic paths. the always courageous and extremely high quality choices have allowed them to create a unique and alternative way of creating music and fashion.
