Miley Cyrus wants to write more songs for the cinema

Miley Cyrus’ best agent is… Miley Cyrus. The American singer-songwriter revealed that she attended the last Oscar ceremony to promote herself as the author of soundtracks: “To everyone who came up and introduced themselves, I said: well, if you need music, I’m here.”

The pop star has recently been involved in high-profile film soundtracks. Let’s think about “Dream As One”, the song recorded for “Avatar: Fire And Ash“, the third chapter of James Cameron’s science fiction saga. To create it he collaborated with Andrew Wyatt, Mark Ronson and Simon Franglen, taking inspiration from the fires that devastated Los Angeles at the beginning of 2025. Last year he wrote the song “Beautiful That Way” for the film “The Last Showgirl” with Pamela Anderson and now Cyrus has revealed that she was chosen to write the songs after simply putting herself out there.

Speaking to “People,” he said he convinced Cameron for the collaboration at the 2024 D23 Expo, where both were honored as Disney Legends. “I said it openly, like I always do,” confesses Miley, who did the same to the actress Jamie Lee Curtis to take part in “The Last Showgirl”.

“That’s exactly why I went to the Oscar this year. To everyone who showed up I said: well, if you need music, I’m here.” Cyrus also said he contacted the creators of the TV series “Baby Reindeer“, although a second season has not yet been confirmed. “I don’t know what I would write for the second season of Baby Reindeerbut I proposed.”
