Mike from “Stranger Things” announces second solo album
Finn Wolfhard, who plays Mike on “Stranger Things,” returns to music and announces his second solo album“Fire From The Hip”, out next July 10th. The project comes after his 2025 debut, “Happy Birthday,” and marks a new artistic phase for the young actor and musician, determined to push the boundaries of his indie-rock sound. Accompanying the announcement is the first single released, “I’ll Let You Finish”, a song with an immediate and enthralling character. The song opens with an indie-flavored guitar riffbefore exploding with energetic drums and a relaxed but charismatic vocal line, confirming Wolfhard’s desire to push towards richer and more dynamic territories.
As anticipated, “Fire From The Hip” will explore themes such as personal reflection, cultural memory and irony. The album was recorded last February and draws inspiration from the classic rock of the Sixties and Seventies, in particular from Exile on Main St. and Beggars Banquet by the band The Rolling Stones. Wolfhard said he experienced the making of the album as a special moment, shared with close friends and creative collaborators who contributed decisively to the construction of the project. After the US tour following his debut and the sold out concert at Electric Brixton, Finn Wolfhard’s recording comeback confirms his desire to build an increasingly credible and personal musical pathin parallel with his film career.
