Madonna, a new publication of rarities for “Bedtime stories”

For the 30th anniversary of his sixth studio album, “Bedtime stories”, originally released on October 25, 1994, Madonna announced the release of a Special EP which will include prime demos and rarities. The album will be released next November 28coinciding with the release of the re-release of the original album in a limited edition silver vinyl version.

At the time of its release, “Bedtime stories” had sold over seven million copies worldwide and included hits such as “Take a bow”, “Secret” and “Human nature”. On that occasion, Madonna collaborated on the production with Björk, Babyface and other prominent artists. To retrace that “evolution of the R&B sound that characterized ‘Bedtime stories’“, as suggested in a press release, arrives now the eight-track EP named “Bedtime stories – The untold chapter” with early demos, alternate versions and rarities. The EP will be available on limited edition black vinyl and in digital format. Additionally, a two-CD deluxe version will be released, which will include the original album, the new EP and a 20-page booklet with lyrics and illustrations.
The EP cover features previously unpublished images taken from a 1994 photo shoot by Paolo Roversi, whose photos were also used for the single “Bedtime story”.

According to what was reported by the NME, the press release on the new publication reveals that Madonna collaborated with Stuart Pricethe producer of his album “Confessions on a dance floor”, to give shape to this new project, editing and mixing it to create a new cohesive chapter.

The announcement of a re-release of “Bedtime stories” initially came in Februarywhen Madonna had made it known that she wanted to re-release the album on the occasion of its anniversary. The “Queen of Pop” shared the news on social media last February, also publishing an accompanying trailer that was subsequently removed by Instagram. Additionally, the pop star announced hers last month return to Warner Records after almost twenty years, with a new dance album, entitled “Confessions on a dance floor part 2”, whose release is scheduled for 2026.
