Mace’s DJ set at the Olympics Ceremony

One week after the inauguration ceremony of the Olympics, which took place last Friday at San Siro, an important piece of the musical part of the show is published.
Obviously, it was above all the performances that got people talking Mariah Carey, Andrea Bocelli, Laura Pausini and di Ghali (at the center of controversy, before and after). But musically speaking, one of the best moments was during the delegations’ parade: Mace, one of the best Italian producers, provided soundtracks for the passage of the flags and teams. His DJ set accompanied the exit of the delegations, while his “Espansione” provided soundtracks for part of Sabrina Impacciatore’s performance on the history of the Winter Olympics.

Simone Benussi, this is his name, posted the entire audio of his performance on YouTube, a 50-minute set of music from his works (in which he involves artists such as Salmo, Blanco, Gemitaiz, Mengoni and Joan Thiele, but which he normally also publishes in an instrumental version only), with some edits and remixes created for the occasion. “It wasn’t supposed to be published, but I thought I’d publish it anyway,” he wrote. You can listen to it here – Mace will be in concert on April 30th at the Forum in Assago
