Loreena McKennitt, live album and concerts coming soon
Loreena McKennitt he will release the album on June 14th “The Mask and Mirror Live”. Recorded live at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco on May 19, 1994. This release celebrates the thirtieth anniversary of what, at the time, was the fifth studio album of the now 67-year-old Canadian musician, “The Mask and Mirror”. It will be available in three formats: CD, 180 gram black vinyl and digital.
“I began this recording by traveling to the Galician or Celtic region of Spain and then to Morocco, Marrakesh, down in the desert, looking for inspiration. This took me into the music and literature of 15th century Spain, through the nuances of Judaism, 'Islam and Christianity, and I was dragged into a fascinating world: history, religion, fertile cultural contaminations,' she recalls Loreena McKennitt.

Loreena McKennitt will leave this summer for Europe for 'The Mask and Mirror 30th Anniversary Tour'playing the album “The Mask and Mirror” in full. Six concerts are dedicated to Italy. This is the calendar in our country:
