Litfiba, it’s a reunion (with Aiazzi and Maroccolo): on tour in 2026

The Litfiba reunion is reality. After the cryptic post with which the Tuscan band thawed its official social channels yesterday after three years of silence, as many as have passed since the end of the 2022 tour (which was presented, moreover, as the definitive conclusion of the Litfiba experience), this morning the announcement arrived: Piero Pelù and Ghigo Renzulli are back together. And with them there are also Antonio Aiazzi and Gianni Maroccolo, the other two founding members of the iconic group of the Italian rock and alternative scene of the 80s and 90s, who had not taken part in the 2022 tour. The tour is scheduled for the summer of 2026, designed to celebrate the forty years of the album “17 re”, the second by Litfiba, released in 1986.

The tour calendar includes 20 dates around Italy. Tickets will be available in advance on Vivaticket.com from 12:00 today Thursday 30 October and on general sale on MC2Live.it, Vivaticket.com and authorized circuits from 10:00 tomorrow Friday 31 October.

In the history of Litfiba there is a before and an after and the watershed is inevitably represented by the departure of Gianni Maroccolo and Antonio Aiazzi from the Tuscan band. The bassist and keyboardist said goodbye to Pelù and his associates in 1989 due to artistic differences: «I didn’t leave with happiness. From that moment on I changed my life. I never followed that path again. I just remained on good terms with Piero, but I haven’t seen Ghigo since Ringo’s funeral (De Palma, drummer who passed away in 1990, ed.). Litfiba was a group massacred by a producer. He divided. And different choices were made. I liked doing shows abroad. They preferred to become rock stars in Italy”, said Maroccolo in 2010. Pelù and his associates tried to recreate the magic of the golden years by recalling Maroccolo and Aiazzi in 2012 for a tour that lasted two years. Aiazzi also took part in the 2016 tour linked to the album “Eutopia”, released that year.
