Linda Perry releases a new album after over 25 years
Linda Perry has announced the release of his new solo album for May 8th, “Let It Die Here”over 25 years after the previous one “After hours” released in 1999. The album is preceded by the single, “Beautiful”.
According to a press release, the singer of
4 Not Blondes
the inspiration to write the songs on the album came to her while she was filming a documentary named after the album and which will be released in cinemas in May.
The album’s first single,
“Beautiful”
is the version of
Linda Perry
– who wrote the song – of the 2002 hit by
Christina Aguilera
. “When I wrote ‘Beautiful,’ I had no idea I was hurting inside. ‘I’m beautiful, no matter what they say.’ ‘They’ represents the insecurities we all face, the fear that makes people unkind simply because someone or something is different. ‘Beautiful’ is about self-expression, about being free, about being whoever you want to be.”
In addition to her upcoming album, Perry is gearing up for a new album with i
4 Not Blondes
which is expected to be released later this year. The band’s only album,
