Lelli and Masotti Musiche: the gallery from the exhibition

The photographic exhibition Lelli and Masotti Musiche will conclude its summer stay at the International Museum and Biblioteca della Musica in Bologna on Sunday 7 September, at the end of three months of exhibition.
The art of photographers Silvia Lelli and Roberto Masotti has developed a particular connection with the thematic affinity expressed by the museum, which represents one of the most important symbolic places for the musical identity of the city and its recognition by UNESCO.
88 photographs were proposed, strictly in black and white, divided between the free setting on the ground floor and the insertion into the permanent collection on the first floor. The choice, offered by the unique and similar characteristics of the host context, has enhanced and expanded the horizons of the collaboration.
There are photographs made in Bologna, which trace one of the many transversal lines within the exhibition itinerary, through which visitors have been able to discover how the music, in the largest and most inclusive meaning applicable, can understand styles, areas, periods and completely heterogeneous languages with each other.
The only opening to color, which Silvia Lelli dedicated to her husband Roberto, who passed away in 2022, is represented by a sequence that portrays Franco Battiato while prophetically descends from the Bolognese hills in 1973, probably at Villa Ghigi.
The collaboration with the Curse is by Riccardo Negrelli, the project is promoted by the Civic Museums sector of Bologna.
