Kiss’ Ace Frehley’s cause of death revealed
Almost a month after Ace Frehley’s death on October 16, the cause of death has been revealed. Upon hearing the sad news of his death, the family declared that the Kiss guitarist passed away “peacefully, surrounded by his family” after “a recent fall at his home”. According to what is now reported, an investigation has therefore been launched into the death of Ace Frehley, who passed away at the age of 74. The results of the medical examination have now been made public, classifying his death as accidental.
According to medical reports obtained by the US edition of “Rolling Stone”, a CT scan of the guitarist’s head revealed “numerous bruises, bone fractures in the back of the skull, hemorrhages and a subdural hematoma”, all injuries attributable to the head trauma caused by the fall. The magazine also reported that further bruising was found on his hip, thigh and abdomen, and that Frehley had also suffered a stroke. A further report published by “TMZ” claims that the guitarist was kept alive on life support for some time after the fall.
On December 7, the late guitarist will become the third musician to posthumously receive the Kennedy Center Honor, following a list of artists who have received the honor before him, including Glenn Frey of the Eagles and Phil Lesh of the Grateful Dead.
