Kings Of Leon have written a Christmas song
Fresh from the release of “EP #2”, the first project for their newly formed label Love Tap Records, Kings Of Leon have revealed that they have potentially another news to share with fans. The group’s frontman Caleb Followill, together with his brother and bandmate Jared, was recently a guest on “Radio wrote a Christmas song.
Speaking about the potential Christmas song, albeit with a bit of irony, the Kings Of Leon singer stated: “It might even get published“. According to what was reported by MusicNewsWeb, he added: “We wrote a Christmas song, but it might be too Christmassy“. When it was pointed out that you can’t write a Christmas song that’s “too Christmassy,” Caleb Followill joked, “How many bells can you put in a song?”
What was revealed by Kings Of Leon also offered an opportunity to talk about the song “I Wish It Was Christmas Today” in Julian Casablancas’ version, about which Followill recalled being born as part of a now legendary “Saturday Night Live” sketch, starring Jimmy Fallon and Tracy Morgan, among others. For this, the Kings Of Leon frontman subsequently stated:
“Every time we hear a great Christmas song, by someone we appreciate, it always makes us think, ‘Okay, maybe we could do one too.’ But, it’s a really hard thing. The great songs are really great, and the bad ones… are really bad!”
