King Giizzard & The Lizard Wizard announce the 27th album
The prolific King Giizzard & The Lizard Wizard confirmed some details relating to their 27th album, “Phantom Island“.
A release date of 10 tracks has not yet been announced that follows “Flight B741“Last year, but the video of the song will arrive tomorrow, April 15, April 15th”Deadstick“.
“On this album there was a lot of love, time, energy, patience and growth”, he wrote Stu Mackenziemember of the group, trained in 2010 in Melbourne, on Instagram, about “Phantom Island”, which presents an imposing orchestration and arrangements of arches and was written simultaneously with the previous album. “I can’t wait to grow wings and fly with all of you.”
“We chose the most rowdy and bewildered songs that seemed to us to be all together,” the member of the group previously told Spin Ambrose Kenny-Smithwhich explained how the “Flight B741” material was divided.
“In this way, he would have played more like a party – more loose, more dad rock, more garage, more upbeat. The others seemed to be a little more” spacious “, more pulled, perhaps even a little more songwriting. They have greater spatiality. They are more relaxed. We have decided to divide them, and this is what is becoming the 27th album”.
The song that gives the title to the disc was published as a single last October, while “Grow Wings and Fly” was often anticipated during the live performances last year.
Starting from mid-May, the Jizzard will play with multi-show residences in European places outside the hand such as an ex prison in Vilnius, Lithuania, and a Roman amphitheater 2,000 years ago in Plovdiv in Bulgaria known as Filioppopoli).
At the end of July, the band will return to the United States for its first concerts with the support of local symphonic orchestras.
And it is not pretended because the Jizzard will debut with their festival, Field of Vision, from 15 to 17 August outdoors in Buena Vista, in California, where three distinct sets will play in the middle of a line-up of friends such as Babe rainbow, King Stingray And DJ Crenshaw.
