“Employment” turns 20 and the band celebrates it with a multifaceted reprint and a live in leeds
THE Kaiser Chiefs announce the reprint for the 20th anniversary of their debut album “Employment“.
The news precedes the big return concert on the band’s scenes in Leeds next weekend, in which they will play the album in full
The Leeds band has released the album, seven times platinum and number two in the United Kingdom, in 2005. The album contains the classics singles “Oh My God”, “I PREDICT A Riot” and “Everyday I Love You Less and Less”.
Among the attempts ‘Employment’ awards was appointed best album at the NME Awards 2006 – beating the competition of Oasis, Bloc Party, Franz Ferdinand and Babyshambles – and has sold more than 2.1 million copies.
In view of their great concert for the 20th anniversary at the Temple Newsam Park on Saturday 31 May – where they will play “Employment” in full – Ricky Wilson and co. They shared the details of a special reprint to also celebrate records that remains their milestone. The group will celebrate the two decades of their debut full-length with three new expanded formats called “China Anniversary”, which will arrive on July 18th.
On the occasion of the 20 years publish ‘Employment – China Anniversary Edition‘, available in different formats. Edition 1lp It is printed on white vinyl and contains the Bonus track “Take my temperatures”, while the set 2LP contains 15 additional songs, including a selection of B-Sides and Bonus Track of the Single CD, as well as Two unreleased tracksexclusive for this format.
In the box 3CD, In addition to the original album, the band He added 40 BranI, including unpublished demo recordings, remixes, radio sessions and A selection of live songs That “trace their rapid ascent from small dates in the Leeds clubs, to headliners of the festivals”.
The original album was remastered in the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London, while the additional material was curated by the band starting from its archive.
As a preview of the imminent exit, the Kaiser Chiefs shared “I Pretict a Riot (Big Nursa Remix) on the net”.
