Jovanotti will produce ‘Teresina’, in honor of his daughter
“Today is a great day because we are devatting our wine, Teresina!”. Thus begins the video Jovanotti he posted on his Instagram account. From the grapes from the vineyards of his Cortona estate, in the province of Arezzo, the Tuscan musician will make a wine that he named after his daughter Teresa.
The harvest obtained is 25 quintals of grapes which could yield approximately 18 quintals of wine. With the help of the Montevertine winery, specialized in the production of Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Colorino wine varieties, a good number of bottles of Teresina will be produced and marketed.
As reported by Wine News, Lorenzo Cherubini already produced a red wine with the same name intended for simple personal use (years ago he gave a bottle to journalists); while the Teresina represents the debut in the world of real professionals.
Jovanotti is just the latest in a long line of musicians who produce their wine in Italy: from the frontman of Simply Red Mick Hucknall to Omar Pedrini passing through Albano Carrisi. To stay in Tuscany to produce wine there are the former leader of Police Sting, Gianna Nannini And Andrea Bocelli.
