Jovanotti: here is the great band of the stadium tour
Jovanotti he presents the band that will play with him on the PalaJova tour on social media and promises: it’s a “fantastic” band, “trust me, we’ll drive you crazy”.
“We are on ‘retreat’ for a few weeks in Romagna in a great place, and we rehearse in the historic Party Pavilion of the Grand Hotel Castrocaro, where the legendary festival of new voices took place, and that’s exactly how I feel in this moment, a debutant ready for a new journey. After this phase of musical rehearsals we will move on to writing the lights and the visual part of the show and from mid-February we will be in the sports hall for the general rehearsals. My intention is to take a show on the road above all exciting, fun and musically very alive, all played live, with a repertoire of pieces that are in our lives and something new that will amaze you”, explains Jovanotti next to a photo that portrays him among the other 13 members of the band who will accompany him in over 40 dates, given that the tour will start on March 4th from Pesaro and will end on May 21st at the Verona Arena.
There is a must on the bass Saturnino Celani “naturally”, always at Lorenzo’s side. Then, the new entry of Adriano Viterbinian excellent guitarist who we find in Bud Spencer Blues Explosion, and in I Hate My Village (“we have known each other for many years, he is among the best and most adventurous guitarists in the world and when we often met we said to each other one day it would be nice to do something together and that day has come”, writes Jova).
At the electronic keyboards and the “direction of the cars and the ‘traffic’ of the band” there is Christian ‘Noochie’ Rigano (“the top of the top”). The “other analog keyboards are edited” by Franco Santarnecchi. On the drums Carmine Landolfi: “One day at Jova Beach I heard playing from behind the stage and I ran to hear who had that groove so I met Carmine Landolfi, now recognized as the new boss of the drums, you’ll hear that stuff”, promises Jovanotti).
Then the “choir of soloists”, as Lorenzo says (“I had been dreaming of doing a tour with voices around me for a while”, he confesses), which sees the director Moris Pradella (who is a well-known vocalist already alongside artists such as Mengoni, Morandi, Cremoni but also a multi-instrumentalist, so much so “that he will also play the second guitar”) and composed of Micol Touadi and from Jennifer Vargas.
The rhythm section, which Lorenzo states “is a train”, is composed not only of the historic percussionist, Leonardo From AngillaAlso Kalifa Kone(a Malian passionate about traditional West African instruments). For the horn section Jova called Gianluca Petrella,” warms everything up and adds an extra layer of emotion with the trumpet of Camilla Rolando and the sax of Sophia Tomelleri“.
Everything is defined by Lorenzo Jovanotti Cherubini as “A marvel, truly”.
