Jon Bon Jovi enthusiastic at the Oasis concert
Jon Bon Jovi in a conversation he had with Virgin Radio UK he talked about the sensations he felt when seeing the Oasis play together live again, adding with enthusiasm that the audience saw a real rock band perform on stage, without tricks and without deception.
Second Jon Bon JoviThe Oasis they showed everyone how a real rock band should behave live. “I had a great time. I needed to go and smell a rock band. I needed to be there and see what a rock band is like on a stage again. They were really good. They played great. They sang great. They were fantastic. That was a much bigger venue than any they’d ever played in America. It was the first time I’d seen them live, and they were really good.”
The American musician then went on to say that audiences are tired of seeing live theatre. He wants to live a rock experience, without tricks: visceral, direct and true. “People really want the rock band again. No dancers, no tricks, no loops, no recorded material. They want to hear a rock band.”
Bon Jovi he explained that, in all respects, the show offered by the Oasis it was truly wonderful, especially the sound of the guitars: “The sound of the guitar alone was worth the price of admission. And they both sang great. The songs that Americans know… you have to remember that they are not that well known in America, and I don’t mean that in a derogatory sense. About a third of the material – the general public, not me, I know all the songs – but the public devoured it. They loved it.”
