John Fogerty with “Legacy” re-registra i Creedence
John Fogerty has made an entire album of classics of Creedence Clearwater Revival for the collection, “Legacy: The Creedence Clearwater Revival Years “which will be published on August 22nd.
Referring to Taylor Swift, who has made the “Taylor’s Version” of four of his albums after having failed to buy the rights of the original recordings, Fogerty calls his remakes “John’s Versions”, although, unlike the Swift, the Masters are now owned, and he comments: “For most of my life I have not owned the songs I wrote. way of celebrating this moment, of playing these songs in my condition, with the people I love. “
Fogerty refers, among others, to the children Shane and Tyler, both guitarists, to the drummer
Matt Chamberlain
the keyboardist
Bob
Malone
the bassist
Bob Glaub
and the saxophonist
Rob Stone
. Shane also co -produced the album with her father, while Fogerty’s wife, Julie, dealt with executive production and declares: “I understood in the first person how important it was for John to get her publications back. It was a moment of joy and it has been joyful since it happened. This is a celebration of the work of a life. It is the biggest party for a good boy/artist who wins.”

He returned to his catalog at the beginning of 2023 after a legal battle lasting fifty years. When he closed this long -standing story, the Californian musician declared: “It is something I thought would never have been possible. After 50 years, I finally gathered to my songs. I also have a say in where and how they are used. Until this year, it was something I had never been able to do.”
