John Fogerty, the hero of the American popular song (1/18)
If the word songwriter, leafing through the dictionary, had been combined with a photograph with good probability would be that of John Fogerty. Practically a human Juke Box. Today the former Creandence Clearwater Revival frontman turns 80 and has been active since fourteen year old put his first group together, the Blue Velvets, who became Creedence Clearwater Revival in 1967. The success of the first single published by the band – The cover of “Susie Q” by Dale Hawkins – gave way to a musical story worthy of note (and notes). In 1971 the first quarrels, in 1972 the latest album then melted. John Fogerty went to the solo career that still sees him well active on stage and in the engraving room.
