Aerosmith: a possible return to the stage?

Joe Perry and the possibility of a final concert by Aerosmith

After just three shows, last year the aerosmiths were forced to erase their farewell tour due to the health problems of the frontman Steven Tyler, struggling with a serious injury to the vocal cords. After almost a year, Joe Perry has returned to the Possibility of a last concert of the group, declaring that he and his bandmates they have not excluded the hypothesis of keeping a final live, As long as Tyler is in a position to sing. In recent months, the leader of the formation of “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” then returned to perform on some private occasions, such as the Jam for Janie in Los Angeles and the charity event of Janie’s Fund in San Francisco. In a new interview with Eddie Trunk on “Trunk Nation” by Siriusxm, Perry has therefore declared that Aerosmith could still take one last show.

“We probably feel a couple of times a week, and we played together for a charity event in San Francisco,” explained the guitarist by speaking of the band’s situation: “There was also Chris Robinson in the lineup, and it was crazy to see the two exchanges.” Then showing himself optimistic about the event of a last aerosmith show, Joe Perry added:

“We are talking about it. Apart from the calendar commitments, we are all alive and healthy, so we’ll see. I know that there must be at least another aerosmith concert, and I can’t wait to start working on the lineup for that”.

Regarding the conditions of Steven Tyler and on which a whole concert holds, Perry stressed: “I think it would make it. It’s just a matter of getting there. We are old now. And it’s not a walk”. He continued: “I always played as if every concert was the last. I hate seeming pessimistic, but every evening I give me all, you understand? The first date we did for that tour (farewell) then canceled, we really felt that there would have been others, but … sometimes things happen”.

During the same chat, Joe Perry also revealed that the Hollywood Vampiresthe supergroup formed with Alice Cooper and Johnny Depp, they are working on a documentary: “I just saw a first assembly and it’s quite incredible. At the moment we are all busy, but I know that basically each of us would like to return together,” said the guitarist.
