Jesus and Mary Chain autobiography 'Never Understood' released

“Never Understood: The Story of the Jesus and Mary Chain”, a volume that tells the story of the “Head On” band, will be published between the next months of August and September on the English-speaking markets: the book was written by the two owners of the project , the brothers William and Jim Reid, with the collaboration of the journalist and critic Ben Thompson.

The title refers to both “Never Understood”, the group's 1984 song, and “Never Understand”, another song by the band released in 1998. “It's a perfect representation of the way this book blurs the line between the present and the distant and recent past, illuminating hidden vistas of the psychic hinterland of this legendary band,” said publisher Lee Brackstone in this regard.

“Glasgow Eyes”, the Scottish band's eighth studio album, will be released on March 8th: the group will promote the album with a tour that will stop in Italy on April 17th at Alcatraz in Milan.
