Jesse Malin returns to concerts after suffering a stroke last year

Last year, the New York singer-songwriter Jesse Malin he had a spinal stroke that has it left paralyzed from the waist down. But in the last two months things have improved a lot. First of all he slowly started walking again, last September 20th he played three songs at the CBS Saturday Sessions and his musician colleagues and friends, also in September, released a tribute album in his honor entitled “Silver patron saints” (read the review here).

Last night, to confirm the improvement in his health, Jesse Malin held his first public concert after the stroke at the Beacon Theater in New York, accompanied by some guests, including Steven Van Zandt, Elvis Costello and Lucinda Williams . During the set some covers were proposed: Pogues, Rolling Stones, Clash and Ramones.
