Jennifer Lopez skips 'This Is Me… Now' tour

The “This Is Me… Live”, a thirty-date tour between the United States and Canada that Jennifer Lopez had planned for the summer of 2024, has been cancelled: the announcement was made with two simultaneous communications by the artist herself and Live Nation, the agency that takes care of the live interests of the performer and actress.

“I am completely saddened, and devastated, for having disappointed you,” Lopez wrote to her fans: “Consider that I would never have done anything like this if I hadn't felt it was absolutely necessary. I promise that I will make it up to you, and that we will all meet together once again. I love you, see you next time.”

“Jennifer is taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends,” Live Nation said, announcing the refund of tickets which, ineluctably, indicates the permanent cancellation of the tour.

The Washington Post reports the testimony of a representative of the artist's management, according to whom the cancellation of the thirty dates cannot be attributed to the low turnout at the virtual box office during the presale phase. According to several indiscretions – obviously not commented on by the person concerned, nor confirmed – relating to the artist's private life leaked by the tabloids behind her, the “absolutely necessary” choice could be a supposed crisis with her husband, the actor Ben Affleck .

Just a week ago the Black Keys have announced the cancellation of their upcoming American arena tourthe International Players Tour, without providing any reason: a few days later the management of the duo originally from Akron, Ohio, without confirming the rumors according to which the cancellation was caused by poor pre-sales, made it known that the dates originally scheduled for the tour would have been reorganized into “more intimate” venues than those originally announced.
