Jeff Tweedy, the triple solo album “Twilight override” comes out

Next September 26th Jeff Tweedy will publish “Twilight override”a triple solo album. The new album, the fifth of the solo career of the frontman of Wilcoit comes five years after the previous one “Love is the king” (Read the review here). The exit of the album is anticipated by some songs: “Enough”, “One Tiny Flower”, “Out in the Dark” And “Stray Cats in Spain”.

In a press release Tweedy said: “When you choose to do creative things, you align yourself with something that others call God. And when you align with creation, you intrinsically deploy yourself against destruction. You are on the side of creation. And this contributes significantly to appeal the impulse to destroy. Creativity devours the darkness. In these days it is like an infinite buffet, a basket of things bottom.

He then continued again: “‘Crepuscolo’ is really a beautiful word, however. And the world is full of happy people in the former empires, so perhaps it is not the only source of this dissonance. Whatever there is out there (or there in) that puts this boredom in my day, it is fucking oppressive. It is difficult to ignore it. ‘Twilight override’ is my attempt to overwhelm her again. Voices, guitars and words that are an attempt to free myself for a little heaviness and increase the power of my light.
