Jared Leto will be Skeletor in the new “Masters of the Universe”
Two years after the last film in which he starred, “Haunted Mansion” in 2023, Jared Leto will return to the set and to the cinema in the next few months. With two roles. In addition to that of Ares in the new “Tron: Ares”, a spin off of the “Tron” franchise, already anticipated, the Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman will have another commitment: he will be Skeletor in the live action version of “Masters of the Universe” , a film inspired by the Mattel toy line starring the character He-Man.
If “Tron: Ares” will be released in 2025, “Masters of the Universe” will arrive in theaters in 2026. Amazon is behind the production. Directed by Travis Knight. Nicholas Galitzine will play the character of He-Man.
Already in 1987, Mattel’s toys inspired a film, simply titled “Masters of the Universe”: Gary Gooddard shot it, with Dolph Lundgren called to play He-Man and Frank Langella to play Skeletor instead.
Thirty Seconds to Mars’ latest album, “It’s the end of the World but it’s a beautifyl day”, was released last year.
