Jacob Collier: three dates in Italy in July
As part of his European tour, Jacob Collier today announces three new Italian live dates for next summer.
The British multi-instrumentalist will be the protagonist on 15 July at the Castello di Udine, on 16 July at the Stupinigi Sonic Park in Turin and on 17 July at the Arena Santa Giuliana in Perugia. On this last date, included in the Umbria Jazz programme, Collier’s performance will be preceded by a concert by Marcus Miller, bass virtuoso, historic collaborator of Miles Davis and true jazz icon.

Born in London in 1994 and came to attention in 2011 thanks to a series of videos on YouTube in which he performs singing and playing all the instruments, thanks to a series of windows synchronized like a mosaic, Jacob Collier debuts with the album ” In my room” in 2016 and subsequently won two Grammys for “You and I” (Stevie Wonder cover, “Best Arrangement, Instrumental or A Cappella” and for the threshold rearrangement of the Flintstones in the “Best Arrangement, Instrumental and Vocals” category). 2024 has been a monumental year for the 30-year-old from North London, winning his sixth Grammy and performing with Joni Mitchell at the awards ceremony, as well as releasing ‘Djesse Vol. 4’ in February.
