Jack White rocked Coachella
Jack White opened the dance yesterday, Saturday 11 April, on the day of Coachella dedicated to rock, where the program included, among others, The Strokes, Interpol, Nine Inch Noize, David Byrne, Alex G, Blondshell. Added to the lineup at the last minute, White immediately raised the bar with his explosive afternoon performance at Mojave.
He made the most of every second of 45 minutes available. Interactions with the audience were kept to a minimum, guitar changes were rare and the White Stripes guitarist seemed solely focused on filling the Indio desert with as much rock as possible.
The ladder retraced his entire careerfrom the White Stripes to the Raconteurs, up to his solo repertoire, with a selection of songs focused on the most overwhelming guitar moments (for example: “Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground”, “Lazaretto”, “Icky Thump”, “Ball and Biscuit”).
White was accompanied on stage by the drummer Patrick Keelerby the bassist Dominic Davis and the keyboard player Bobby Emmett.
