Jack White and Jack Black improvise a new Seven Nation Army

“Jack Silver, Jack Zebra or Jack Stripes”, he joked Jack Black combining his name with that of Jack Whiterejecting the more boring “Jack Grey” previously proposed by fans. The actor joked about combining the two names during the presentation of the new animated film “Super Mario Galaxy Movie” at the “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” (here the video), where he anticipated his hosting of the “Saturday Night LiveAs promised to Fallon, Jack Black and Jack White have truly joined forces then on the “SNL” stage.

The two in fact proposed a reworked version for the occasion of the White Stripes classic, “Seven Nation Army” Over the course of the episode, who saw Black for the fifth time host of “SNL”White joked about it and he, in his sixth appearance on the program, said he couldn’t stay long, saying that fifth-time musical guests “only have parking validated for 15 minutes” and so he had to “move his hearse.” At that point, Jack Black began singing “Seven Nation Army” with White on guitar, revisiting the lyrics and improvising: “I’m gonna make it right / The five-timer army gonna lift the curse / We got the Black and White / He’s shredding his ax while I sing the next verse”

Jack White also took the opportunity to be on the “SNL” stage to perform his new songs “GOD And The Broken Ribs”, and “Derecho Demonico”, released the day before the program, last April 3rd. The new songs marked the artist’s recording return after the 2024 album “No Name” and anticipate the tour in Europe which will also see him play in Italy for two dates scheduled for 19 June at the La Prima Estate festival (Lido di Camaiore) and 21 June at the Arena Alpe Adria in Lignano Sabbiadoro.
