Indie like me: the identikit of Ventu

Ventu is the protagonist of Indie Like Mea roundup of emerging talents on the Italian scene curated by TuneCore.

Born Jacopo Venturini, born in 1996, the artist – after a childhood spent between Vicenza, Lugano and London, settled in Milan, where, in 2011, he began his activity as a musician. After a first collaboration, started at the beginning of 2020, with Thaurus and Universal Music Italia, Venturini takes a pause for reflection from his career as an artist to return, in 2022, with the Ventu project, debuting in November of the same year with the single – distributed by Tunecore – “Egocentrica”, produced by the same performer with the collaboration of Alessandro Coma.

These days Ventu is launching a new single, entitled “Simply”.

“When I started I was rapping, and it took me some time to understand that I was more akin to pop,” explained the artist: “’It’s simply perhaps the most indie song I’ve ever written in my life: it’s the story of an evening at home and one at the bar with a person I won’t mention. It seemed like the right dedication to give him, because – beyond the jokes – he is the person closest to me.”
