In Birmingham the first exhibition in the world dedicated to Ozzy Osbourne
Starting from 25 June the Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery, in the hometown of the Black Sabbath, will host the first exposure to the world entirely dedicated to the career of Ozzy Osbourne. The exhibition, entitled “Working Class Hero”, will remain open until September 28th.
According to the press release taken from “Loudersound”, the exhibition – free admission – will present “the most prestigious international awards received by Ozzy, including the Grammy Awards, the insertion in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the MTV prizes, the stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and on the Birmingham Walk of Stars”, together with a selection of its gold discs and platinum, photographs and videos that tell “his path as a boy of the Aston working class to global rock legend, recognized all over the world”.
Black Sabbath fans will also be able to visit a free photographic exhibition outdoors in the Victoria Square of the city, with archive images of all four original members of the legendary band – completed by guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler and drummer Bill Ward – together with the iconic covers of their albums. In addition, in Navigation Street, near the New Street Station station, the artist Mr Murals has created a 40 -meter long mural dedicated to Black Sabbath, with their iconic logo and realistic portraits of the band through seven decades of history.

The Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne will hold their last live concert ever on 5 July at the Villa Park in Birmingham, closing in style with an event that will see the most important names of hard rock and Heavy Metal on stage. The event, baptized “Back to the Beginning” and that it will also be possible to follow in streaming, will see Osbourne, Iommi, Butler and Ward to share the stage for the first time since 2005. Among the artists who will pay homage to the godfathers of the metal there will be metal, tools, Guns n ‘Roses, Slayer, Alice in Chains, Mastodor, Lamb of God and Lamb of God and Many others. Billy Corgan, Fred Durst, Jonathan Davis, Wolfgang Van Halen, Pope V Perpetua, Sammy Hagar, Zakk Wylde, Jake and Lee and others will also participate. The musical direction of the event is entrusted to Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine).
