Here are the Raven who return to perform in Italy.
They are called Gallagher, they are two brothers but the affinities with the Oasis stop here. These two brothers (less quarrelsome) – Mark (guitar) e John Gallagher (Bass) – They come from Newcastle and it is since 1974 that they grind heavy metal with their musical creature: i Raven.
No reunion tour for them but yet another series of dates that goes under the name of “Can’t Take Away The Fire Tour 2025” and who will see them arrive in Italy next September 10thunique given in our country to Legend Club Milano.
At the opening, another band will perform which will soon be communicated.
The Raven were born by the will of the Gallagher brothers between 1974/75 ending up classified with the Heavy Metal Band label, which they have always rejected rightly because in the first career phase the hardest style joined progressive openings and also reggae. From a scenographic point of view in the live they used a lot of athletic, sporty look by wearing objects and accessories of different disciplines.
In 1981 they released “Rock Until You Drop”, their first album followed by the following year “Wiped Out” 1983 is the turning point because “All for One”, their third album, is released in America, enjoying a fair success. The album followed an overseas tour with the then young people Metal And Anthrax (both born in 1981). The album “Live at the Inferno” was the recording of one of those concerts that also aroused the interest by Major American, including the Atlantic Records with which the Raven signed a contract. The group abandoned England to move to America.
These were the years of the so “hair metal”, that of the hardest rock bands with showy cotton hair. The Atlantic skewed the band into this vein. For this and more the contract with the American label did not lead to the satisfaction of the expectations of the Gallagher brothers, who after three albums in 1987 closed with, “Life’s a Bitch”, Their sixth career album, the contract with Label Major, returning to base in Europe.
In the meantime, dominant music was changing and the years of great success seemed far away. The Gallagher continued to make Heavy Metal mold discs until 1999 (“One for All”) when they interrupted their business. The return to the scenes takes place ten years later, in 2009, with the publication of a new album. Since then at 2023 the Raven have published four discs. The last, “All Hell’s Breaking Loose” dates back to 2023 while in 2025 he published the EP “Can’t Take Away The Fire” which gives its name to the tour with which they will arrive in Italy, where their last performance dates back to 2024 (with four dates between March and August).
