That time Gué and Fibra rapped over a Verdena hit

Gué: a new album with references to Stadio and Henry Miller

A cinematic trailer revealed what many were waiting for: a new album by Gué, the release date of which is not yet known. In the clip, directed by Fabrizio Conte, we see the rapper driving a car, with a shot of the eyes that is very reminiscent of cult films such as “Sin City”which features a James Bond-style snow chase, with speeding jeeps and snipers stationed in the mountains. A bullet reaches him, and the title is revealed: “Tropic of Capricorn”. The productions of the project are curated by Sixpm and Chef P. A title that cannot help but immediately come to mind the famous novel by Henry Miller. First published in Paris in 1939 by Obelisk Press, in the United States of America the book was considered immoral and its publication was banned for 22 years, until in 1961 a ruling by the Department of Justice established that its contents could not be considered obscene. The work, which over time became a symbolic volume of freedom of expression, was the sequel to the equally famous and controversial “Tropic of Cancer”.

Mr Cosimo Fini’s quotes are not over: the sound that accompanies the trailer, in fact, recalls “Acqua e soap” by Stadioa beautiful piece that serves as the soundtrack to Carlo Verdone’s 1983 film of the same name. At the center of the song, and also of the film, there is a very young and mischievous girl, a baby-lolita. In short, “Street cinema”, as the artist commented. References to the big screen have always been a fixed point in Gué’s rap who, after the successful experience of the reunion with Club Dogo which took place in 2024, complete with a tour also marked by a symbolic date at San Siro, returns with a solo project two years after “Madreperla”, an excellent album made with Bassi Maestro. 2025 will be a very busy year for the artist: he announced, again with a trailer published on his channels, the first dates of his 2025 live tour. Accompanying him were rappers Artie 5ive and Rasty Kilo. In addition to opening the concerts with their own set, the two rappers will also be part of Gué’s show. It’s certainly not over: he will also be at the Sanremo Festival alongside Shablo with Tormento and Joshua, all competing with the song “La mia parole”.
