Green Day will open the Super Bowl
They will be the Green Day the protagonists of the opening ceremony of Super Bowl number 60, scheduled for February 8th at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. For the punk rock band it will be a special moment: the show will take place in the Bay Area, their homeland, and will be their debut in the history of the event.
The trio composed of Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool will perform a medley of the most iconic songs of his career, accompanying the parade on the field of some of the most important MVPs in the history of the Super Bowl. Billie Joe himself said how great it is to open one of the most watched sporting events in the world “in your own backyard.”
The half-race show will be entrusted to the Puerto Rican star Bad BunnyWhile Charlie Puth will sing the national anthem of the United States and Brandi Carlile will perform “America The Beautiful.”
