The prestigious ones are awarded during the Italian night Grammy Awards 2024the awards in the various categories (93, divided between main prizes, special prizes and “technical” prizes) in the musical world.

The ceremony (during which the winners of not all categories will be announced) will take place from 8pm local time (Pacific Time) at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles and it will be possible to follow it in live on You Tube, starting at 2 am (Italian time).

Trevor Noah he will host the Grammy award evening, joined by Meryl Streep, Oprah Winfrey, Lionel Richie, Christina Aguilera, Lenny Kravitz, Maluma, Mark Ronson, Taylor Tomlinson and Samara Joy.

Expected on stage to perform during the delivery ceremony are SZA, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Olivia Rodrigo, Joni Mitchell, U2 (in audio video connection), Billy Joel, Luke Combs, Burna Boy and Travis Scott.

Unlike what was announced on social media, theabsence Of Beyoncé that she will not be performing at the Grammy Awards ceremony, after rumors spread that she would take to the stage to honor the late icon Tina Turner (who passed away last May).

Three new categories have been added from the 2024 edition: best African musical performancebest alternative jazz album and better pop dance recording. Other innovations starting from the sixty-sixth edition concern the reduction from ten to eight of the number of candidates in the four main categories (“Album of the year”, “Record of the year”, “Song of the Year” and “Best new artist”). Another change introduced by Recording Academy (the institution that awards the prizes) is the new rule that prohibits music created by artificial intelligence from being considered or receive a nomination for the Grammy Awards.

In 2024 SZA is the top contender with nine nominations, follow Victoria Monet And Phoebe Bridgers with seven nominations. Taylor Swift (victory of the last edition), Eilish And Rodrigo they got six nominations each.
