Goodbye to Libby Titus, the American singer-songwriter was 77 years old
She died at the age of 77 Libby Titusactress and singer-songwriter who has collaborated, among others, with Burt Bacharach, Carly Simon And Dr. John. She is known as the co-composer, along with Eric KazOf “Love Has No Pride”a song he recorded in 1977. The song was later covered by Bonnie Raitt, Linda Ronstadt and the Australian singer Daryl Braithwaite which reached the Top Five of the Australian charts.
Titus’ death was announced by her husband,

message on the band’s website
. “My beautiful wife, Libby Titus Fagen, passed away on October 13 surrounded by family. Thank you for keeping us in your thoughts and respecting our privacy at this time.” Libby Titus was the mother of Amy Helm, a singer-songwriter whose father was the late Band member Levon Helm.
Libby released her self-titled debut album, composed only of covers, in 1968. The second album, also titled with her name, arrived in 1977 and, although it was produced by a quartet of music big names like

Robbie Robertson, Paul Simon
And
Carly Simon
he didn’t have great luck. Titus is the subject of the song by

In 1987,

encounter
Donald Fagen
and two years later they began working together in a soon-to-be-disbanded group called
New York Rock and Soul Revue
. The two then married in 1993 and remained together until the day of his death.
