Goodbye to Eric Carmen, former frontman of the Raspberries

Eric Carmenformer frontman of Raspberries and author of hit songs such as “Go All the Way”, “I Wanna Be With You”“All By Myself” and “Hungry Eyes”, died at the age of 74 . The cause of his death was not disclosed. His wife Amy wrote, “It brought him great joy to know that for decades his music touched so many people and his legacy will be lasting.”

Eric Carmen he was born in Cleveland on August 11, 1949.

I started taking piano lessons from the age of three. In middle school, after listening to .Beatles, Who and Rolling Stones, he taught himself to play the guitar and began playing in local bands. In the late 1960s, Carmen together with Wally Bryson, Jim Bonfanti and Dave Smalley formed i Raspberries. Eric was its frontman and main songwriter. The band released its first self-titled album in 1972. Within five years i Raspberries, with their power pop they signed hits. which “Go All the Way”, “I Wanna Be With You”, “Let's Pretend” And “Overnight Sensation (Hit Record)”.
