Goodbye to Dre Love
The New York musician, but residing in Florence since the nineties, André Thomas Halyardsbetter known as Dre lovepioneering figure of Italian hip hop, died at the age of 55.
DJ, rapper, beatmaker, as reported by Rainews.it, joined the Radical Stuff, One of the first Italian hip hop groups. He also was part of the collective “Dopa messengers”. His name is often linked to Neffedwith which he collaborated in the first two albums, and numerous other artists such as Irene Grandi, Alex Britti, Almamegretta, Dj Gruff, Dj Enzo, Gopher D And Reggae National Tickets.
With his band, composed of Italian musicians, Diego Leporatti (drums), Gianni Pantaleo (keyboards), Niccolò Malcontenti (Bass), Tiziano Carfora (percussion), Andrea Rubioi (guitar), Leandro Giordani (sax) and Emanuele Campigli (trumpet), he brought concerts on stage that were sound travel between past, present and future of the black sound.
