Genesis: the new version of “The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway”

The exit of the reissue in the deluxe edition of the sixth album of the Genesis“The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway”, organically published on November 22, 1974, is no longer expected as initially for March, but has been postponed. The re -edition of the disc will therefore be available From next June 13th via Rhino/Warner.

While the reissue of the disc was postponed, however the remastered title track was published, made available on all streaming platforms.

The super deluxe edition for the 50th anniversary sees “The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway” Distributed on five vinyl LPs and a blu-rayor four cd + blu-rayas well as in digital versionincluding a Dolby Atmos mix created by Bob Mackenzie and supervised by Peter Gabriel and Tony Banks at the Real World Studies. The publication provides for the Original mix of the albumremastered at the Abbey Road Studios by Miles Showell starting from the analog recordings of 1974, while a Blu-Ray Audio disc contains the remastered audio at 96 kHz/24 bit in high resolution and the Dolby Atmos of the studio album. The box is also accompanied by A 60 -page book With cover notes, images of Armando Gallo, Richard Haines and other well -known photographers, as well as a replica of the 1975 tour program, a ticket and a poster.

The new box set also includes, for the first time, The complete live show “The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway Live at the Shrine Auditorium” of 24 January 1975including the tracks of the encore, released in full. It has been remastered and includes two tracks in the Encore: Wather of the Skies and The Musical Box. This is the first time that the complete live show, including the songs of the encoro, is released in full. There are also three unpublished demos from the legendary Headley Grange Session, included as part of a digital download card with the complete audio of the set.
