Gazzelle surprise releases the new single “Noi no”
About a month after the publication of the song “Come il pane”, and while waiting for the two concerts in the stadiums of Rome and Milan, Gazzelle returns with a new single. The song, released today January 3rd almost as a surprise, is titled “Noi no” and is produced by long-time collaborator Federico Nardelli.
Described in a press release as a song “imbued with nostalgia, in which the desire to go back in time is intertwined with the bittersweet memory of an everyday life that cannot be forgotten”, the new single was presented as follows by the Roman singer-songwriter:
“‘We don’t’ I wrote it a year ago, in autumn, while I was moving house and opening one by one all the various boxes where there were a lot of things, mostly useless, that I had been carrying around with me for several years. Opening each box I realized that there was so much stuff to throw away or give away, so much wasted time, so much wasted energy, remorse, regrets, and strange puppets… in short, there was really everything. Everything, except us. Who knows where we ended up… maybe in a moving truck, maybe at a party we weren’t invited to, maybe on a Saturday. Or who knows, maybe we’re still here even if we’re no longer here.”
The publication of “Noi no” comes after some clues scattered a few days ago around the streets of Rome and Milan, where some phrases of the new song appeared. Yesterday, then, the singer-songwriter published a video on social media in which some of his lookalikes sang the chorus of the piece.
Gazzelle, who will most likely release a new album in the coming months, two years after “Dentro” (here is our review), will perform on 7 June at the Circus Maximus in Rome and on 22 June at the San Siro Stadium in Milan.
