Gary Moore’s son Jack releases a new single
Jack Moore, son of the rock legend Gary Moorehas released a new single with plans to release a debut album in 2025.
In collaboration with the emerging Polish vocalist Quentin Kovalsky“In My Shoes” was created when the duo toured Europe together with a tribute show to Gary Moore, an Irish musician from Belfast considered one of the greatest guitarists of all time.
Jack said: “’In My Shoes’ is inspired by the relationships between parents and their children and how they guide you through life. It explores the themes of the values we instill in us and how we put them into practice in our lives.”
“I worked on the song with Quentin while we paid homage to my father around Europe with shows. We discovered that we shared the same musical inspirations and so doing our own original project was natural. “I think it’s the beginning of an identity that we feel like pursuing. The guitar and classic sound fit our style well. I think my father would have loved this song. There’s also a hint of THIN Lizzy’s unmistakable dual guitars, and I think it’s very close to my father’s style.”
Gary Moore, widely celebrated as one of the greatest guitarists of all time, has sold over five million albums over the course of his career. Known for hits like “Out In The Fields“, “Parisian Walkways“, “Empty Rooms“, “Still Got The Blues” And “Pretty Woman“, Moore Sr. made his mark as a heavy rock guitarist before evolving into a blues artist.
He also played with i Thin Lizzy appearing on 4 of the band’s records between 1974 and 1983. He also played with Skid Row, Colosseum II and bassist Greg Lake (EL & P.)
