No, Miley Cyrus' new single doesn't copy Maneskin

From Miley Cyrus to the Garbage: here are the records of the week

A good dose of pop, thanks to an undisputed protagonist of the scene of the last fifteen years. Of classic rock, but also a little healthy rock nineties. Dance, with the new work of a circuit star, who waves the tricolor flag on the stages of the festivals dedicated to electronic music. And also a little rap. From Miley Cyrus to Garbage, passing through the Gratteful Dead, Anyma and the Joint Album by Guè and Rasty Kilo: this is what we will find in the New Music Friday of this Friday, May 30th.

Miley Cyrus – “Something Beautiful”

The voice of “Wrecking Ball” returns two years after “Endless Summer Vacation”, the “Flowers” album, two Grammy Awards won in 2024 as “Record of the Year” and “Best Pop Solo Performance”. He does it with “Something Beautiful”, whose exit is accompanied by great expectations. The former Disney starfish called it a visual album “focused on the theme of healing”. On the cover Cyrus wears an archive dress by Thierry Mugler from 1997: an image described as a hint to the aesthetics of the album and the theme of songs, that of “finding beauty even in the darkest moments”, because “you cannot have a painting without lights and contrasts”. In addition to the album, there will also be a film: it will be presented on June 6 at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York, before arriving in Italian theaters, for a single day, on June 27, as a special event. The film is simply titled “Miley Cyrus: Something Beautiful” and is directed by the same voice as “Wrecking Ball” together with Jacob Bixenman and Brendan Walter: “” Something Beautiful is the project of my dreams that comes to life: fashion, cinema and original music that coexist in harmony “. A return from Diva.

Anyma – “The End of Genesys”

2024 was the year in which its name exploded at a mainstream level, after being a cult phenomenon for years among the followers of the world electronic scene. Now Anyma, real name Matteo Milleri, new king with very Italian origins (even if he was born in New York: the father is Francesco Milleri, from 2022 executive president and CEO of Essilorluxotic), is preparing to consecrate himself definitively with an album, this “The End of Genesys”. Forget the beginnings with the UF US, the duo composed together with his colleague Carmine Conte, with which from 2009 to 2019 Milleri made himself known: the present of Anyma lies in the fifteen tracks contained in “The End of Genesys”, which range from collaborations with pop star as Ellie Gouding (“Hypnotized”) to rapper incursions such as 070 Shake (“Joke’s on” You “). In “Taraatata” there is also Grimes.

Golden Years – “Outside menu”

David Bowie has nothing to do with it: Golden Years is the name of art by Pietro Paroletti, a Roman producer born in 1993 who in recent years has put his hand in the songs of Coez and Frah Quintale, Franco126, psychologists, collecting collaborations also with pop star of the caliber of Elodie (“Feeling”, in a duet with Tiziano Ferro) and Noemi (“I don’t need you”). Now with “Fuori Menu” the manufacturer aims to carve out a protagonist space: he does it by hosting friends and colleagues as Calcutta (“feeling alone”), Franco126 himself (“Tightididà”), lightning (“undergoing”) and Coez (“never”). Speaking of the album, Paroletti says: «Outside menu is the unexpected, the unexpected, the song written when it was not scheduled to write a song. Twelve songs, twenty -eight minutes in which I summed up a year of music. Together with me fifteen artists and incredible artists who helped me to give shape to the record I had in my head ».

Gué and Rasty Kilo – “Kg”

Guè and Rasty Kilo have announced their first album together. The album, entitled “Kg”, will be published on Friday 30 May by Oyster Music for Island Records. The two rappers are linked by a strong bond of friendship and a relationship of mutual esteem, so much so that Gué had wanted Rasty Kilo by his side throughout his tour in the buildings. Just during this 2025 tour the first spoilers of this project had arrived, through the visuals shown during their performances and then with anonymous CDs distributed by hand to the fans outside the Assago forum after the last date of the tour.

Garbage – “Let All That We Imagine Be The Light”

Last year the Garbage made it known that they were working on a project, ideal successor of “No Gods No Masters” of 2021. Now Shirley Manson, Duke Erikson, Steve Marker and Butch Vig are ready to publish their new and eighth studio album. The title of the disc is “Let All That We Imagine Be The Light” and the release date is set for May 30th.
